A generator converts motion into electricity, the opposite of what an electric motor.
Renewable energy industries, the generators is utilized to increase energy efficiency and cover not yet exhausted the resources of our planet:

1. Hydropower: turning water flow into electricity. In a dam, water flows quickly through long passages of gravity. Water turbines (essentially a "negative spiral" which, in turn, when the water flows through them) will make the river on a shaft which is connected to a generator to produce electricity.

2. Wind energy: the wind turns into electricity. A similar approach as in the case of a wind turbine that is when the air flows through it. Once again, the rotation axis is connected to a generator to produce electricity.
